The Southern Technical University discusses a master’s thesis on the structural evaluation, work and results of the newborn screening program in Karbala after eight years of pilot implementation

A master’s thesis was discussed in the College of Health and Medical Technologies within the Southern Technical University on the structural evaluation, work and results of the newborn screening program in Karbala after eight years of pilot implementation.

The study submitted by the student, Donia Fawaz Mohammed Abd Ali, included the implementation of the newborn screening program for public health, Where the program examines all the children in search of three serious genetic diseases that can be treated

The study aims to identify the problems or obstacles that prevent the promotion of work with this program, to ensure that it becomes more successful and that it meets the goals or progresses towards achieving them. In her study, the researcher recommended expanding the work of the program to include all governorates of Iraq in the future.
