Technical College of Thi Qar within the Southern Technical University held a seminar on ways to combat drugs and the most important diseases caused by them. The seminar, in which Mr. Sajad MohammThe psychological counseling and educational guidance unit at theed Abd attended, aims to learn about the harms of drugs and the most important diseases, how to reduce them, methods of treatment and solutions for this scourge, in addition to highlighting the Life Recovery Center for its provision of good health services and work to encourage young people and support, as well as cooperation with volunteer teams in order to guide and guide addicts or users to go to this center in order to eliminate this deadly and harmful scourge. The seminar concluded that drugs have a negative and health impact as they work to change the personality of users, and be a contributing factor in low functional and cognitive performance, and the appearance of mental symptoms such as: a feeling of apathy, loss of correct judgment on things, and viral diseases such as viral hepatitis. For his part, the dean of the college, professor Dr. Baqer Turki Atiyah, stated that the college’s scientific program has adopted such awareness seminars for young people, as it is an important part of the University’s mission and goals, and we are working to implement these goals through effective social programs that will have a direct impact on them, especially highlighting the diseases that affect society from time to time, and the vision of the University
