Southern Technical University organizes the scientific conference of the Central Student Research Projects

The Southern Technical University organized the scientific conference of the Central Student Research Projects with the wide participation of students of the University formations in the governorates of Basra, Maysan and Thi Qar. The conference, which was held under the slogan (Our students have future projects to build our country), aims to strengthen the research and knowledge aspect among students and actively contribute to strengthening scientific research as a study priority, supporting it and upgrading its level, especially applied scientific research, as well as contributing to refining the personality of students by instilling the spirit of research work in them and training them to conduct scientific research and present their results at conferences. The president of the University, Prof. Dr. Rabiee Hashim Abbasi, opened the conference with a speech in which he stressed that the research participating in the conference is distinguished research, hoping that it will take its way to application to benefit from it in the private and public sector, pointing out that the presidency of the University and its formations will be the real supporter of the ideas adopted by those researches, stressing that the importance of such conferences lies in identifying the issues and common research interests of researchers and in various academic disciplines, whether technological, health or administrative. On a related note, the dean of the Basra Engineering Technical College, Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, read a speech at the research conference of college students, through which he explained the need for teamwork and student participation, as it represents a real breakthrough towards the future and a major goal of achieving the vision and mission of the University, pointing out that the development of scientific research, development and creativity among students is one of the most important objectives of student conferences and its axes, stressing the importance of participation in student activities in various fields. The opening ceremony of the conference, whose sessions were distributed between the Technical Institute and the Basra Administrative Technical College, was attended by the university president’s assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, in addition to many deans of formations, professors, specialists and a group of students
