Southern Technical University discusses ways of joint cooperation with the cultural attache at the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Basra governorate

The president of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Rabee Hashem Abbasi, met with the head of the cultural attache at the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Basra province, Mr. Redha Malki, where they discussed ways of joint cooperation between the University and other Iranian universities. Abbasi reviewed to his guest the most important memorandums of understanding concluded with Iranian universities, pointing out that the university has understandings with some universities such as Shiraz University, Tehran University, Sharifi and Ferdowsi, but they did not do as required because there is not enough budget to achieve this, indicating at the same time that we are seeking to achieve that cooperation as it contributes greatly to the exchange of experience between university professors and students, especially technical universities on both sides. For his part, Malki expressed his happiness with this meeting, praising the Iranian universities and their scientific and cultural importance in the region, expressing the importance of these understandings between the Iraqi Technical University and other Iranian universities, where he will seek to overcome all difficulties to ensure their application
