Southern Technical University researching a master’s thesis as potential immunological biomarkers for the diagnosis of tuberculosis

At the College of Health Technology within the Southern Technical University, it researched a master’s thesis on potential immunological biomarkers for the diagnosis of tuberculosis.

The thesis submitted by the student, Yasmin Ali Hussein, aimed to identify immunological biomarkers in serum / urine to diagnose and monitor the response to treatment for patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and to study the relationship among these patients.

NF-KB between levels of these indicators and genetic change.

The research included the study of the SuPAR MMP CXCL.

The study concluded, through its results, that there was a significant difference and high statistical significance for these indicators, whether in the diagnosis or prediction of pulmonary tuberculosis.
