Southern Technical University holds an expanded meeting to implement the Bologna track

An extensive meeting was held in the Southern Technical University to implement the Bologna track, the meeting which was attended by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Rabie Hashem Al-Abbasi, and managed by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Alaa Farid Abdul-Ahad, members of the Quality Council as well as the Curriculum Council, in addition to the Dean of the Technical Administrative College of Basra.

The meeting included a discussion of the latest developments and steps taken by the university in the field of implementing the track, which it is hoped to start implementing its outputs at the beginning of the next academic year 2022-2023.

Abdul-Ahad indicated that the university always seeks to enhance and raise the scientific level of its students and graduates, and to prepare graduates who are scientifically and professionally qualified with experiences that make them able to engage in the labor market.Pointing out that the university had put forward a working paper that included what had been accomplished by the Curriculum Council, and discussed the quality plan, its details, and its compatibility with the requirements rejected by the labor market.

As well as achieving a solid academic program and building bridges of global partnership in the field of modernizing university education programs and systems.

It is mentioned that the Bologna Path Program aims to create a qualitative shift in the organization of higher education programs in order to improve the competencies of graduates and make them more suitable to enter the labor market and to make them more effective in their future job
