Southern Technical University organizes specialized development courses for the wounded and families of martyrs

The Center for Continuing Education and the Computer Center within the Southern Technical University implemented courses in computer applications, occupational safety and the English language for the wounded and families of martyrs in cooperation with the Jaafar Al-Tayyar Center for the Rehabilitation of the Wounded in Basra Governorate.

The courses included training and practical lectures in computers and application programs that the recipients can use during their work, in addition to a specialized course in occupational safety to qualify occupational safety and health specialists as well as how to manage the emergency and relief system, as well as a course in the basics of the English language.

University media indicated that this initiative came under the direct guidance of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Rabie Hashem Al-Abbasi, during his meeting with a delegation from Jaafar Al-Tayyar Center, where Al-Abbasi confirmed that the university will be the main supporter of any initiative that serves the interest of society.

From her part, the official  of the Development and Improvement   Department at the center, Mrs. Elham Hassan, expressed her great gratitude and pleasure for the cooperation and advance preparation she experienced between the university and the center, pointing out that the training will have a humanitarian and professional return for the trainees and rehabilitate them so that they are able to work within the available possibilities.
