The Department of Nursing Technologies at the Technical Institute of Basra within the Southern Technical University organized a training course in health management and the spread of epidemics, for volunteer teams that contributed to serving those infected with Corona disease.
The course, which was attended by Mr. Muntadhar Flayeh from Basra University / College of Science, Dr. Asaad Faraj, Mr. Haider Younis and Mr. Farazdaq Fakher from the Nursing Techniques Department at the Institute included Theoretical and practical topics regarding the spread of epidemics in general and ways to control them, as well as how to transmit epidemic diseases, the most important used vaccines, and mechanisms for using sterilizers and disinfectants to avoid infection, in addition to practical lessons on how to deal with patients infected with the epidemic.
From his part, the Dean of the Institute, Prof.Dr. Wathiq Al-Ramadhan, indicated the importance of such courses in spreading health and environmental awareness among everyone, pointing to the necessity of full commitment to the national health decisions and strengthening them with such activities, which will have a direct impact on everyone’s life. At the same time, he thanked the volunteer teams that contributed significantly In spreading this awareness.
