The Head of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Rabie Hashem Thajeel AlAbbasi, practiced his work as Dean of the Technical Institute of Amara and the Technical College of Maysan from a lower position. This took place during his attendance at these formations and his direct briefing on the progress of the work of the administrative and scientific committees and divisions. Al-Abbasi met with heads of scientific departments and people’s officials, stressing the importance of accuracy in work and upgrading it in order to achieve ambition and achieve the drawn scientific and educational goals, pointing out the importance of submitting proposals that would develop and enhance scientific activities at a level that befits our university. The President of the University honored the retired employees, praising their role and efforts over the past years. The honoring meeting was attended by the Dean of the Institute, as well as the heads of departments. On the other hand, Al-Abbasi inaugurated an exhibition of photographs of the student (Sajjad Ali) within the cultural and artistic activities at the Maysan Technical College, where many pictures that embodied social and cultural life were displayed.
