The Electronic Computer Center at Southern Technical University organized a training course entitled “The Virtual Library and How to Benefit from Its Digital Resources,” with the participation of a number of teaching staff members. The course was held as part of the Center’s development programs aimed at promoting digital transformation and enhancing the use of digital resources within the university environment.
The course introduced participants to the Iraqi Virtual Library and the range of services it provides. It also covered the procedures for registration and accessing international databases, in addition to advanced search techniques for locating peer-reviewed research papers and academic journals across various fields of specialization.
The course was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Sarah Abdul-Ilah, who highlighted the key tools and services offered by the Virtual Library. She also provided participants with practical guidance on effective search methods and the optimal use of available electronic resources, stressing the importance of utilizing these resources to support scientific research and contribute to the advancement of academic performance.
