Southern Technical University invites companies, government organizations and the private sector to join the Industrial Advisory Council

The Southern Technical University invited companies, government organizations and the private sector to join the Industrial Advisory Council, this came during a meeting that included managers and representatives of government departments and organizations and other private sector, as well as the president of Basra University of oil and gas, the University Council. The president of the University, Prof. Dr. Rabiee Hashim Abbasi, opened the session with a speech in which he explained the main purpose of this meeting, which is to solidify the relationship between the University and its outputs and the requirements of the labor market, and how to develop curricula in line with the visions of that market, Abbasi stressed that what is needed now is what the private and government sector needs from the curricula in order for the graduate to be at a level that serves everyone, pointing out that the university is determined through this council to bridge the gap between the outputs of education and the labor market. For their part, the participants of the meeting, through their interventions, expressed the importance of such meetings at the scientific and practical levels because of the urgent need to develop the capabilities of students and graduates, which will be positively reflected on improving the quality of education and developing production
