The president of the Southern Technical University meets the UNESCO delegation in Iraq and discusses with them the implementation of the Bologna educational path

The president of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Rabiee Hashim Abbasi, met in his office the delegation of UNESCO in Iraq, which included the senior consultant of the organization, Mr. Tim Maizen, as well as the consultants for professional development, Mr. Essam Yousif and Ammar Nazim. Abbasi discussed with the delegation the implementation of the Bologna educational path in the University formations and ways to enhance it and develop its curricula to be applied in all departments of the University’s faculties and institutes.the meeting discussed what has been achieved about this path and the scientific benefit that students have touched in terms of modern teaching methods and the knowledge they have acquired. The assistant dean for Scientific Affairs in administrative Technology, Dr. Zaid Alaa Hussein, indicated that the delegation of consultants reviewed the building of the Department of information technologies and modern laboratories in it, and also listened to an explanation about the curricula and workshops implemented by the University for the scientific departments in Iraqi public and private universities in Basra governorate, to introduce the Bologna educational path and the mechanism of its application, adding that the said scientific path was implemented in the Administrative Technical College and the Information Technology Department as an educational model at our university to be implemented for all engineering departments in the academic year 2023/2024 this to The meeting was attended by the assistant rector for Scientific Affairs, the dean of the Administrative Technical College in Basra, the director of the Continuing Education Center and the assistant dean of the Administrative Technical College
