Students of the Basra Technical Institute within the Southern Technical University attend the restoration sites of heritage houses in Basra governorate

A group of students from the Department of civil technologies at the Basra Technical Institute within the Southern Technical University visited the sites of work in the restoration of heritage houses in the province, where they came to the site dedicated to the Houses of the chinashels, the palace of culture, the House of plastic artists and the Old River, and were briefed on the completion rates, stages of implementation and skill in engineefring performance. The head of the Department, engineer Haider Al-Diwan, informed us that this visit came at the direction of the president of the University, Prof. Dr. Rabee Hashim Abbasi, and to complement the series of cooperation between educational institutions and related organizations such as UNESCO, which took upon themselves to restore those roles in order to supply the labor market with graduates and improve their skills, pointing out that recommendations were issued to students to be their annual projects focused on the restoration, rehabilitation and preservation of ancient heritage designs. It is noteworthy that this visit is the second for the students of the institute, as it was agreed that the visits will be periodically to learn about the most important novelties and modern restoration methods
