The Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the Nasiriyah Technical Institute within the Southern Technical University held a course on intestinal parasites

The course in which the lecturer, Roaa Majed Khazal taught, aimed to introduce the virulence factors of the histolytic amoeba parasite, which is the cause of amoebic dysentery.

As well as identifying the methods and techniques used to study and diagnose these factors and how to determine their gene expression.

The course included general lectures on cases of parasitic infection.

In addition to the methods of diagnosing parasites and the modern methods used in diagnosing these parasites.

The course concluded that parasitic diseases may cause many skin problems, such as the appearance of rashes, ulcers, eczema and skin allergies, due to the toxins and waste released by parasites, which lead to an increase in the acid level in the blood.
