Under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. (Naeem Al-Aboudi), and headed by Prof. Dr. (Rabee Hashim Al-Abbasi), President of the Southern Technical University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. (Khawam Risan Hussein), Dean of the Nasiriyah Technical Institute, and with the participation of a number of researchers from inside and outside Iraq.
The Sixth International Scientific Conference on Advanced Medical and Engineering Technologies was held in the Nasiriyah Technical Institute.
Al-Abbasi opened the conference with a speech in which he stressed that enhancing the scientific level and trying to advance it comes first in the university’s vision and mission.
As it is an important part of its goals that it always seeks to achieve, pointing out that attending this conference constitutes an important link for exchanging ideas and promoting scientific expertise, which encourages researchers to communicate with the correct scientific environment.
From his part, the Dean of the Technical Institute of Nasiriyah explained in his speech the importance of scientific research, which is the sound basis for the development of nations, peoples and societies.
He explained that the Southern Technical University has extensive contributions to solid scientific research and advanced practical and applied techniques.
The conference witnessed a wide presence of university presidents and deans of colleges and institutes, as well as personalities from the local government in Thi Qar Governorate. At the end of the opening session, shields were distributed to contributors, researchers and other academic figures.
