The Women’s Empowerment Unit at the Southern Technical University discussed the main violations suffered by Iraqi women in recent years, This came through the holding of an interactive symposium carried out by the Dean of the Technical Institute of Basra in cooperation with the University Presidency. The head of the Community Health Technologies Department, Dr. Rana Kamel Fardan, attended the symposium on the importance of women in peacemaking and conflict resolution and the need to be present during negotiations because they are the hardest hit during wars and crises, In addition to the violations suffered by Iraqi women, particularly during the period of ISIS activity, the suffering of displaced women in the camps, and the physical and psychological effects of the attacks. The symposium concluded that women should be kept out of all conflicts, domestic violence should be eliminated, and causes and motives for real treatment should be found , as well as , relying on a clear, comprehensive approach, policies have been put in place that provide women with sufficient economic resources to cope with difficulties.
