As part of its efforts to enhance the role of scientific incubators in supporting sustainable development, the Department of Scientific Affairs/University Incubators and Ecosystem Division organized an online workshop entitled “Technological and Scientific Incubators and Their Role in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals” on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
The workshop was presented by M.E. Ezz El-Din Sabyan Attia, Head of the Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Unit at the Basra Technical and Administrative Institute. He discussed the importance of technological and scientific incubators as key drivers of innovation and their pivotal role in supporting entrepreneurial projects and achieving sustainable development goals by providing an environment that nurtures creative ideas and transforming them into implementable projects.
The workshop also highlighted the challenges facing incubators within academic institutions and proposed solutions for developing an ecosystem that supports innovation and entrepreneurship.
