The College of Health and Medical Technologies within the Southern Technical University, in cooperation with the Second Police College, held an awareness lecture on domestic violence. The lecture, which was delivered by the Assistant Dean for Affairs at the Second Police College, Brigadier General Ali Jihad Hussein, aims to define the linguistic definition of domestic violence and the definition of social sciences for it, and the lecture, which was attended by the Dean of the College as well as a number of teachers and those interested in this issue, included topics such as self-motivations for violence and social motives, and concluded with the importance of activating laws to protect the family and children, the need to establish specialized shelters to detain those accused in domestic violence cases and educate university students about the importance of protecting children and women from violence in all its forms and manifestations.
