Based on the Supplement to the Regulations for Application and Admission to Postgraduate Studies for the Academic Year 2026\u20132027, issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which sets out the mechanism for rotation between universities and the filling of vacant seats, Southern Technical University announces the availability of a number of vacant seats in its postgraduate programs, according to the academic departments, specializations, and admission channels specified in the attached table.<\/b><\/p>\n
First: Application Procedures for Rotation<\/b><\/p>\n
Applicants wishing to transfer through the rotation mechanism from other universities to Southern Technical University must comply with the following procedures:<\/b><\/p>\n
Submit a written request to the university to which they originally applied, indicating their desire to transfer to Southern Technical University, along with the college, department, specialization, and original admission channel.<\/b><\/p>\n
Obtain a certified copy of the application file, including the competitive examination score and differential score, as well as documents confirming that the applicant has not been admitted and has not been excluded due to employment overlap. All documents must be duly certified and officially stamped.<\/b><\/p>\n
Submit a written request to the relevant academic department at the college, accompanied by the certified application file and the required undertakings in accordance with the ministerial regulations.<\/b><\/p>\n
The academic departments shall review the applications and notify applicants of the results within a period not exceeding 72 hours from the date of receipt of the application.<\/b><\/p>\n
Second: Rotation Regulations<\/b><\/p>\n
The general specialization and the specific specialization must correspond to those required for the program to which the applicant wishes to transfer.<\/b><\/p>\n
The rotation of employed applicants shall be restricted exclusively to equivalent departments and must be consistent with the no-objection letter issued to them.<\/b><\/p>\n
Changing either the general specialization or the specific specialization during the rotation procedures is not permitted.<\/b><\/p>\n
Third: Mechanism for Filling Vacant Seats<\/b><\/p>\n
Vacant seats shall be filled according to the following sequence:<\/b><\/p>\n
Vacant seats under the Families of Martyrs Admission Channel shall be filled by applicants rotating from the same admission channel, based on the highest differential score.<\/b><\/p>\n
Vacant seats in the remaining admission channels\u2014Political Prisoners, Persons with Disabilities and Special Needs, Top Graduates, General Admission, and Private Tuition\u2014shall be filled exclusively by successful applicants according to their original admission channel and based on the highest differential score.<\/b><\/p>\n
Upon completion of this stage, any remaining vacant seats shall be pooled and filled by applicants rotating from other universities, based on the highest differential score.<\/b><\/p>\n
Fourth: Schedule<\/b><\/p>\n
First stage for filling vacant seats: from 9 August 2026 to 13 August 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n
Stage of pooling and filling vacant seats: from 16 August 2026 to 19 August 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n
Stage for admitting applicants covered by the Critical Cases Processing (5 Marks) to the remaining pooled vacant seats: from 20 August 2026 to 24 August 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n
Announcement of the final results: 25 August 2026.<\/b><\/p>\n
For information on the number of vacant seats by academic department, specialization, and admission channel, please refer to the table attached to this announcement.<\/b><\/p>\n
