The Southern Technical University discussed with the UNESCO Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization ways of joint cooperation in the fields of training, qualification and capacity building. This came during a meeting with the President of the University, Professor Dr. Rabiee Hashim Al-Abbasi, in his office with the organization\u2019s team. Al-Abbasi explained to the delegation the importance of cooperation and joint work between Iraqi universities and organizations working in the fields of Development and training, pointing out that the university possesses the scientific and technical expertise to work within rehabilitation teams, as well as the logistical capabilities and appropriate infrastructure for holding courses. For its part, the delegation stressed that the work of the organization funded by the European Union will be influential because of its importance that reflects the experience that the organization has implemented in Rehabilitation of heritage houses in the governorate, Director of the Department of Culture in the UNESCO Iraq Office, Fabers van Zesler, pointed out that. The purpose is to qualify students and professors specialized in surveying, building and construction techniques by holding long-term training workshops for them.
