Under the slogan \u2013 Our students asked for future projects to build our country – the Southern Technical University organized its scientific conference for Central Student Research with the participation of University formations in the governorates of Basra, Maysan and Thi Qar, and included participation in 30 researches distributed among institutes and colleges and various technological and administrative specialties, as well as health and medical specialties. The president of the University, Prof. Dr. Rabiee Hashim Abbasi, honored the students who won the first three places for students of colleges and institutes, praising at the same time the work of the preparatory, media and other supporting committees, stressing that this conference should be an annual tradition organized by the University. The assistant president of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Alaa Farid Abdul-Ahad, in the recommendations he read at the end of the conference, emphasized the interest in the research aspect, especially scientific applications, in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, in addition to inviting private and public sector companies to such conferences, to see the practical applied research results for students and support, pointing to the importance of material and moral support for students and their distinguished research<\/b><\/p>\n
